You know how I know life has been good lately?

It hasn’t even been halfway through 2013 yet but I already had to get a bigger jar for all my happy paper star moments!

As for the jar decor, I skipped the bows for good ol’ DYMO, because I am that kind of girl. ;)

P.S. My usage of “greatest hits” was inspired by a passage from a book I read in 2011 that always stuck with me: “They say just before you die your whole life flashes before your eyes, but that’s not how it happens to me. I only see my greatest hits. The things I want to remember, and be remembered for.” That book was, of course, Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. ♡

Holy F, guys, check out Ruby Day! I literally just got to her channel like twenty minutes ago (I hopped from John Green’s blog) and starting with the brilliant A Little Seasick I practically went through the rest of her original songs with my mouth open. The whole time. Because, shit, her lyrics!!! So raw and real. Aaaaah why don’t you have a record out yet?!

(I don’t really spend a lot of time on YouTube, cus aside from the fact that it is so time consuming [it is, really, and I don't have the luxury of time cus I like to spend that, well, reading], I know there are like, a million talented people being awesome out there [i.e. all the aspiring artists doing song covers], and that tends to overwhelm me. Cus to be honest I’m not really all that interested in artists doing covers as much as I am artists singing original songs they wrote themselves. Songs with genius lyrics, most especially. And from those I’ve come across with there aren’t much I’ve been totally impressed by. Ruby Day definitely caught my attention though, and has succeeded in making me feel I’m missing a LOT by not exploring YouTube more often. Crap.)

Hey, all! Super stoked to finally be able to share a finished design job here in my blog! Most of the stuff I’ve been doing over the summer are still in ~top secret~ stages and I can’t post them here until they’re put out to the world by their respective owners first. :( But since my friend Sai of Vanilla Clothing has already debuted her official logo I’m taking that as a go signal to talk about the branding process here.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: If there was one person as close to being my twin in interests and taste and general craziness, it would be my cousin Reesha. That’s us being total kids in the picture above. (She’s also the one who edited the pic. Cute, huh? Yay for her iOS Apps editing skills! I could never successfully edit anything without using Photoshop. LOL)

I love that despite all the years added to our ages, some things still never change. <3
